SINOPSIS
ESP - PIGS o también PIIGS es un acrónimo que surgió en los medios financieros anglosajones para denominar a los países de la franja sur de la Eurozona cuyas economías, que en los años 90 habían sido un supuesto modelo de crecimiento, se debilitaron a raíz de la crisis financiera que comenzó en 2007. Estos países, siguiendo el orden del acrónimo son: Portugal, Irlanda, Italia, Grecia y España. PIIGS. Madrid son una serie de retratos que tomé a gente de mi entorno en los meses de noviembre y diciembre de 2012 con una cámara Hi8. La edición de las imágenes rompe el gesto de cada individuo con el fin de recorrer el espacio que queda entre la fuerza de una presencia física y la posibilidad de manipularla.

ENG - PIGS or also PIIGS is an acronym that emerged in Anglo-Saxon financial circles to denote the countries of the southern fringe of the Eurozone whose economies, which in the 1990s had been a supposed model of growth, weakened in the wake of the financial crisis that began in 2007. These countries, following the order of the acronym are: Portugal, Ireland, Italy, Greece and Spain. PIIGS. Madrid are a series of portraits I took of people around me in November and December 2012 with a Hi8 camera. The editing of the images breaks down the gesture of each individual in order to traverse the space that remains between the strength of a physical presence and the possibility of manipulating it.
